Sangita Lakhanpal presents the sounds of Myth and Mantras of the 10 wisdom Goddesses, the " Dasha Mahavidya". She weaves together spoken word and mantra music which delivers us to the roots of classical Tantra, to inspire wonder and connection to the Great Mother.
Presenter Bio
Sangita Lakhanpal is a British-born artist rooted in the spiritual wisdoms of her Indian heritage. Her work pulses with a voice that is urgent, sensuous, and awakened to these times. For over two decades Sangita has dedicated her life to embodying and sharing the teachings of Tantric Yoga. After a long pilgrimage on the River Narmada in India, she created a free arts school for underprivileged girls and young women, and held international Yoga pilgrimages to fund this work. During Covid, Sangita returned to the UK where her practice has developed into the musical telling of Vedic myths, designed to transport the audience into the ecstatically spiritual through Mantra singing. She has created two albums; 2019’s “The Durga Opera” and “Mahavidya”due to be released this year.
