The sober dance movement reframing rave culture. Centering POC/queer pro DJs & wellness facilitators. Music and dance are the great unifiers. Afro Trance Dance centers African electronic dance music, complemented by sounds & rhythms from around the world, creating a musical reminder of what we have forgotten; that we are all one, and all come from the same source land – Africa. Our ancestors have used dance and music to access healing since the beginning of time, but when our body is blocked with stagnant energy and unprocessed emotions, it interferes with our ability to enter such states. Afro Trance Dance™ combines EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), music & movement to release these blocks.

Named after the Azurite stone which is traditionally used for sound healing, Azyre Blue's (@azyre.blue) sets take you on a journey of transcended states of consciousness through her unique blend of African ancestral rhythms, deep transcendental beats, and an Afro-Psychedelic sound of tech, soul, jazz, and African electronic dance music. Azyre Blue has played at festivals, events & retreats such as Camp Wildfire, Latitude Festival, Southbank Centre, The Africa Centre, Drums Radio & Imaginary Millions, and Get Lost in Amalfi amongst others.
Azyre Blue first learned to DJ as a way of healing from a serious long-term illness. She became aware that the sounds she played enabled her to access meditative states of consciousness which contributed to her healing journey. Azyre later went on to conduct research at the University of Hertfordshire using her DJ mixes to show that music and dance enhances wellbeing.
Azyre Blue is the co-founder of Afro Trance Dance™️ and the founder and event curator of Soulseed Collective which brings together art, music, talks and workshops with a focus on wellness.
