4Beat is a dynamic vinyasa flow class born out of the Rocket Yoga system. The core of the practice is the alignment of the breath to the slow, regular beat of the music. Focusing the mind and the breath on a 4Beat count leads to a sharp, single-pointed and unwavering ability to concentrate. You will find yourself completely immersed in a state of synchronous moving meditation.

Presenter Bio

Imogen is a teacher of 4Beat, Rocket Vinyasa and Yin. When joining her 4Beat classes you can expect to be challenged. She focuses on strength and stability, combined with Pranayama breathwork.  Music also plays a large role in her vinyasa classes, where she takes great care to mix her own playlists and take you on a journey.  In 4Beat you move with breath, in sync with the beat, setting the stage for movement as meditation. She first came to yoga through mindfulness and the Ashtanga Mysore Shala before finally falling (or flying!) in love with Rocket. Inspired by this heritage, and influenced by her background in the Arts, she creates immersive experiences that weave traditional asana with modern movement and music. She has trained extensively with masters of these practices - Marcus Veda, Hannah Whittingham, Amme Poulten, Amber Jean and Carson Calhoun. If you would like to catch her outside of class, she can regularly be found assisting her teachers on their teacher training courses.
