Both my Vinyasa and Yoga Open classes are accessible and non-linear with detailed instruction. Typically, classes incorporate core-conditioning, synchronised movement and breathing, and a grounding meditation practice. Having spent many years in the Ashtanga tradition with Ryan Spielman, my practice turned in a more playful and creative direction. My lead teacher is now Carrie Owerko. Yoga got me into my body and made me a movement lover who now also delights in a bit of Animal Flow and Brazilian JiuJitsu. I qualified as a mobility specialist to help me create classes that bring ease and functionality to the modern western body. It also enabled me to heal my debilitating hip injury that I was told only surgery would fix. On a non-physical level, my training as a psychotherapist helps me sensitively tune into my students.
